Roosevelt High School Film Club (2015-2018)

In my sophomore year of high school, I helped create an award-winning, internationally-recognized filmmaking program with my friend because we didn’t see any outlet for it at the school. Over the three years, we accrued over 30 members, raised thousands of dollars for funding, participated in several local, national, and international festivals, and established a presence comparable to the decades-old arts programs that had already existed at Roosevelt. It has continued with success.
